I just found a new website that I had to tear myself away from! Right Wing Watch

It’s unbelievable the amount of crap pumped out by the right-wing-nuts! Seeing it all in one place is enough to make a liberal cry–and then get really mad and motivated to keep speaking out!

Here’s a small sample of the headlines in just the first 2 posts:

  • Americans United: Publicly Funded Evangelical Agency Fights For Religious Discrimination.
  • County Fair: Right-wing runs with dubious claim that Obama admitted “I am a Muslim”.
  • Bruce Wilson: Angle’s Nevada PAC Promoted Crackpot Conspiracy Theories Attacking Gays, Atheists.
  • Do you know why liberals hate Sarah Plain?  Because she is beautiful.
  • Richard Land warns that “social experiments” are going to destroy America.
  • Quote of the day from the Traditional Values Coalition: “President Obama’s latest judicial nominee–I kid you not—is a defender of serial killers, rapists and child molesters. He is set to sail through the U.S. Senate, unless you act immediately.”
  • Finally, do not even think of stealing John McMillan’s yard signs (My Comment–a Must See Video!)

I was reading and reading and reading–I had to stop before I became nauseous! I just couldn’t get enough! It’s like a big old dose of whip-ass to validate my reason for writing this blog and the other projects I have going.

It’ll be my guilty little pleasure! Maybe it’ll become yours too. That is if you can “stomach” it!

TALKERS magazine is the leading trade publication serving the talk media industries in America. The story details the history of the organization and names many of its contributors and users. According to the author, Beverly Santaniello Talkers Magazine Assistant Editor, Newsmax founder and CEO Christopher Ruddy found a formula for success. The slant of the site is to the right, but the content has sought to remained free of sensationalism and scandal and report the details of stories that may be missed by mainstream media.

Political “Humor”

I have a friend that I think is a great person. He’s intelligent, witty, accomplished, and has a big heart. He’s also a Republican.

Despite the fact that he is a Republican, I like him very much and we exchange messages via email often. Most are forwarded messages that have some witticism or inspirational tone. Often they poke fun at public officials and politicians. For a while, he actually lampooned both sides of the aisle. But lately he’s been dissing Democrats and liberals almost exclusively.

I try to ignore much of what he sends that are irritating, but when they arrive uninterrupted one after the other, I get inspired to reply. Continue reading

The Left Can’t Remain Silent

Cathy Bolkcom PACG President greets Presidential Candidate Senator Barack Obama in Davenport, Iowa

We won!! In 2008 WE WON!!

Barack Obama fulfilled our hopes and dreams and plans of the past 8 years that were shattered twice by George W Bush. The first time by a complacent country that was lulled by the prosperity of the Clinton Presidency and turned off by his peccadilloes. The second time our downfall was fears that if we threw our problem out, we’d be admitting to the world that we were weak and ready for invasion.

Exemplary campaigns did not preceded either election. Al Gore couldn’t quite get his public image right and the election results left us all stunned by the problems that finally decided the outcome.

In 2004, the field of candidates was broad and diverse. And the field moved up and down and up and down in the polls. And candidates made some questionable choices. And the media caught others in unflattering light.
